Sales Manager

This is a permanent position to work for one of the UK's largest specialist distributors of computer consumables based in BD1.  The role will include motivating, managing and developing an existing sales team, and introducing initiatives to expand existing business and win new customers.

Salary: Good Basic + Car/Car allowance + benefits

Location: Bradford City Centre

Skills and personal qualities required:

  • A proven track record of achieving targets and delivering sales results through a sales team and personally, preferably in a proactive telesales environment. Knowledge of computer/office supplies a definite advantage.

  • Able to communicate at all levels

  • Good at organising your own work and that of your team.

  • Able to lead by example and meet agreed deadlines.

  • Commercially astute with an eye for detail.

  • IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Current UK driving license.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for the motivation, management and development of an existing sales team .An important part of the role will be the growth of your sales team through effective recruitment and training.

  • Working with the Sales Director and the Telemarketing Manager you will introduce initiatives to expand existing business and win new customers.

  • You will monitor the performance of your Sales team members against KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and carry out regular reviews to ensure continued personal and career progression for suitable team members.

  • Largely office based although some customer visits will be required for your larger customers.
